- SOIL ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES || Explore and learn to properly conduct the different soil analysis techniques that are used by geologists in the field
- ENGAGING ACTIVITY || Using samples provided in the kit, or with local soil samples, this experiment kit provides the tools and instructions for performing a visual analysis of the samples, and for determining particle size, density distribution and chemical properties
- EXCELLENT FOR REMOTE LEARNING || Great for Distance Learning and home schooling - kit includes instruction manual, worksheets and enough materials for 5 groups. Makes an exciting home science project!
- MATERIALS INCLUDED || Kit includes materials needed to conduct the analysis and experiments - universal indicator solution, bromoform, bromobenzene, potassium chromate, hydrochloric acid, 5 soil samples, magnifying glasses, forceps, polarizing glasses, drying dishes, sieves, glass slides, plastic scoops, color charts and test tubes with caps
Soil composition has been a keystone experiment in earth science classrooms for many years. This soil analysis kit will teach students the skills needed to properly conduct soil composition tests as well as allow them to collect and evaluate local soil samples. By bringing in local soil samples the students can build a stronger connection to their own local environment while still building on a knowledge base that can be applied to any other environment. This kit contains enough material for 5 groups. Teacher's Manual, Student Study Guide and worksheet copymasters are included.
Great for distance learning and home schooling - kit includes Teacher's (or Parent's) Instruction Manual, safety data sheets, student guide and worksheet copymasters.
