- Introduce students to concept of molarity
- First experiment involves making a solution with a specific molarity
- Second experiment involves titration on known acid solution so student can implement learned concepts
- Includes teacher's manual and student study guide master copy
- Includes materials for up to 15 groups
The experiments in this kit have been designed to introduce students to the concept of molarity. Students will first try to make a solution with a specific molarity demonstrating the importance of good laboratory technique. In the second set of experiments students will perform a titration on a known acid solution before using the concepts they have learned to identify the concentrations in three unknown solutions. This kit has enough materials for 15 groups. Teacher's Manual and Student Study Guide copymasters included Kit Includes: 400 mL 0.3 M Hydrochloric Acid, 45 mL Phenolphthalein Solution, 5L 0.1 M Sodium Hydroxide, 1200g Sucrose, 400 mL Unknown Hydrochloric Acid #1, 400 mL Unknown Hydrochloric Acid #2, 400 mL Unknown Hydrochloric Acid #3
