Students will study whether fruit flies move towards or away from important chemicals and food that aid in their survival. Using the Innovating Science choice behavior chamber, behaviors of the fruit flies are observed, and any pattern can be identified. Students will formulate their own theories based on the response of the fruit flies to the chemicals and foods, and then determine what materials and experiments should be tested furhter.
